asparagus, smoked salmon, lemon, garlic, olive oil, pasta, creme fraiche, and chives.

Snap off the bottom inch or so of the asparagus stems. If your asparagus has thick stalks, peel the outside layer of skin with a vegetable peeler.

Slice stalks into 2-inch chunks, cutting in half any thick pieces.

Heat olive oil in skillet, and sauté minced garlic, then add asparagus and cook until crisp-tender and lightly browned.
