figs, balsamic vinegar, honey, sugar, and vanilla extract.

Stem figs, then chop.

Combine figs, sugar, honey, water, balsamic vinegar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan.

Bring to a boil, then turn down heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
