Hello! I’m so happy you are here. I’m Molly, and I’ve spent the past 15 years of my life diving deep into my passion for food. I earned my pastry chef certificate from the dearly-departed Tante Marie’s Cooking School in San Francisco, then started my own personal chef service when my oldest daughter was a baby.
I spent over 10 years cooking weekly meals for busy families, special-occasion dinners for romantic couples, and fun party foods for celebratory gatherings. I taught classes in-person and over Zoom. And during that time, as I perfected crowd-pleasing recipes that were also (mostly) healthy and seasonal, I began thinking about how to share them with more people.
So a couple of years ago, I decided to start the little recipe blog you see here. You'll find plenty of vegetarian and vegan recipes on my site, but I confess I am an omnivore. I stick mainly to seafood and chicken, as it seems almost unanimous that beef and lamb have the biggest environmental impacts. If I'm going to eat meat, the recipe has to be delicious—and I try to buy organic meat and support local farms wherever possible.
And, I believe firmly that eating seasonal, local fruits and vegetables is not only a responsible eating choice, but is also the most delicious way to eat. I love cooking with pulses and whole grains too, which are both nutritious and pretty easy on our planet.
You’ll also find many recipes that express my love for French cuisine. In addition to the French pastry school I attended, I lived in France for a few years of my adult life. I absolutely adore French food and culture, and spent my time in Paris frequenting French markets and cheese shops along with taking classes at Le Cordon Bleu and with the incomparable Kate Hill in Gascony. I was also a regular contributor to Inspirelle, a women-run website focused on helping to inspire, connect, and empower women in Paris.
So join me as I share my favorite recipes—seasonal food that nourishes from the inside out. You’ll find recipes that are easy enough to pull together on a weeknight, and recipes elegant enough to entertain family and friends but don’t require long hours in the kitchen.
Then invite your family and friends to join you around the table. This is where the magic is. ❤️
